Jamie is a recently divorced mom of 3 kids under 5. Even when she was a married stay-at-home mom, she was sleep deprived, overwhelmed, and overstimulated. When she got divorced, she had no idea how she was going to manage life alone or get a job that paid more than the cost of 3 kids in childcare.Jamie dreamed of having neighbors or roommates to support each other – to watch each other's kids, take turns cooking dinner, carpool for school pick-up, and to be there for each other during illnesses and emergencies. So she created Mommune Match to find her village.In addition to this online community, Jamie is working towards acquiring land to build cabins or tiny homes where mothers can live in community. Is this an inclusive community? Yes, we welcome all races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. This is a female-centered, mom-focused community, so we use terms like "women" and "mothers" often. However, anyone who identifies as female, non-binary, or trans is welcome to join. We also welcome mothers of all kind – including birth mothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, surrogate mothers, step-mothers, and grandmothers. Our focus is on shared caregiving and support.Do I have to be single to join? No, you don't have to be single to benefit from our supportive community, women's circles, forums, and other resources. Some single moms may be open to forming living arrangements with couples, and if not, there are many options for Mommune arrangements in different households. You can connect with members who share your preferences and needs.Is there a free trial? Can I cancel my membership at any time? Yes to both! We currently offer a free 7-day trial, and you can cancel at any time. If you cancel before your trial ends, you won't be charged. If you cancel a paid membership, you will not be billed again.
